The chance to take part in the BIGGEST medical student conference in Asia is finally here!
This summer, over 500 medical students across the world will come together in the Philippines for the annual Asian Medical Students’ Conference!
This is a great opportunity to take part in an international conference and be able to present projects that you will be working on in the months leading to it. You can choose to be involved in a paper, a poster or a video. Not only will it look great on your CV, it’ll be a fantastic experience.
During the conference, you will have the opportunity to explore the beautiful sights of Manila and scoff yourselves with delicious food. You will also experience the culture of the Philippines and take part in numerous enjoyable activities.
Meeting people and making friends from around Asia is a key highlight of the conference yet this is also an amazing opportunity to get to know the AMSA family here in the UK.
To be able to go to the conference, you MUST attend these COMPULSORY meetings (there will be two).
Come along to find out more about the conference and see whether it is for you – don’t worry you don’t have to commit just yet!
The first meeting will be held on Saturday 4th Feb! Followed by our Chinese New Year dinner (further details to be announced shortly).

Sunday 29th January 2012
Some of you may be aware that there is a huge celebration for Chinese New Year in Trafalgar Square this Sunday and the Chinese Community Centre is running a number of stalls to raise funds for the centre there as well as helping out with the event as a whole. AMSA-UK would like you to get involved as there is a need of helpers! Helpers don’t have to help out all day (but sure if you want!) but can do a shift for a couple of hours if that’s what you can manage.
If you are interested in helping out , contact our volunteering officer Sebastian Ho at sebastian.ho@kcl.ac.uk
